What does the Bible say about \u2018Boozing\u2019?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It is not for kings, O Lemuel (meaning, \u2018belonging to God\u2019 or \u2018dedicated to God\u2019) to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer (Pr.31:4). So, if you \u2018belong to God\u2019 or if you are a believer, in other words, you will not booze. What does the Bible say about \u2018Smoking\u2019? \u2018Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred and you are that temple!\u2019 (1 Cor. 3:16,17). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since, your body is the very temple of the Holy Spirit, it is not right to defile it with cigarettes, each of which, can reduce your lifespan by five minutes. Judas killed himself and he was \u2018doomed to destruction\u2019. Do you think the punishment is any different for those who kill themselves slowly by smoking? What does the Bible say about \u2018Profanity, Backbiting, Slander, Tale bearing\u2019? \u2018You must rid yourselves of all such things such as these:..filthy language\u2026slander..malice (Col 3:7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Tell it not in Gath\u2026Proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon . Lest the daughters of the Philistines be glad, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised rejoice\u2019 (2 Sam.2:20). This verse indicates we should not proactively pass on reputation-damaging information about the fallen. David, the man who spoke these words, did not want to spread the news of Saul’s suicide, something severely damaging to the reputation of Saul and to Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

David did this even though Saul was his enemy! What does the Bible say about \u2018Pornography\u2019? \u2018But the thing David had done displeased the Lord\u2019 (2 Sam.31:27). The first thing David did in this chapter: \u2018From the roof he saw a woman bathing\u2019 (vs. 2). Watching nudity deliberately – which is what watching porn basically involves – does not please God. What does the Bible say about \u2018Sex before marriage\u2019 ? And after a time, his master’s wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, \u2018Lie with me.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he refused and said to his master’s wife, \u2018Behold, because of me my master has no concern about anything in the house, and he has put everything that he has in my charge. He has none greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except yourself, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?\u2019 (Gen.39:7-9). Even consensual sex between two adults is a sin. This is the view of the One who Created Sex \u2013 God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Creator knows best. Extra or Pre marital sex is “great wickedness” in the sight of God, as Joseph put it! What does the Bible say about the issue of intimate touching done between people belonging to the opposite gender before marriage? The word of the Lord came to me: \u2018Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They played the whore in Egypt; they played the whore in their youth; there their breasts were pressed and their virgin bosoms handled\u2019 (Ezek.23:1-4). Yes, God views the dirty acts involving intimate touching done between people belonging to the opposite gender as \u2018whoredom\u2019. What does the Bible say about \u2018Flirting? \u2018Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm, for love is strong as death\u2019 (Song of Songs 8:6). Romantic love \u2013 the kind of love which the Bible endorses \u2013 must be for keeps. It is not to be seen as a pass-time. You can’t change romantic partners as often as you change channels. Romantic love, according to the Bible, must be as strong as \u2018death\u2019. That means you only say, \u2018I love you\u2019, in the romantic sense to the person with whom you will live with, the rest of your life, \u2018until death do you part\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
